Why does Windows warn me when I run a plugin?
The builds aren't code-signed yet. SmartScreen warns about any new app from an unrecognized publisher until it builds up reputation. Choose More info → Run anyway. To confirm the file hasn't been altered, compare its SHA-256 hash with the one shown in your library.
The app says VCRUNTIME140.dll is missing.
The plugins use Microsoft's Visual C++ runtime. Most PCs already have it. If yours doesn't, install the free Visual C++ Redistributable (x64) from Microsoft and launch the plugin again.
I lost my download link.
Go to Find my purchases and enter the email you used at checkout. We'll email the link again.
Is there a Mac version of the plugins?
The plugins are built with JUCE and the source already supports macOS and Linux, but the only builds published right now are for Windows. The browser apps work on any desktop OS.
The VST3 doesn't show up in OBS.
OBS on Windows only hosts VST 2 plugins. Run the standalone app into a virtual audio cable and pick that cable as your mic in OBS. As a bonus, the processed mic is then available in every other app too.
My processed mic sounds worse in Discord or Zoom.
Turn off the other app's own noise suppression (Krisp, Zoom background noise, Teams noise cancellation, OBS noise filter). Two noise reducers in a row interfere with each other.
I picked the virtual cable in Discord and hear nothing.
A cable's two ends have different names. The plugin plays into CABLE Input, and other apps record from CABLE Output. In the other app, select CABLE Output.
Which browser should I use for the apps?
Chrome or Edge on desktop. They support every feature the apps use: AudioWorklet, WebCodecs video export and Web MIDI. Firefox and Safari run most features but not all of them.
Do the apps upload my audio or video?
No, not by default. Recording, editing, stem separation, local transcription and export all run in your browser. Uploads happen only for features you turn on yourself, such as CutClip's optional Cloud mode, remote sessions or account sync.
