Deverb DECAY DAMPING STRENGTH MIX

Reverb is a predictable decay, not random noise, so Deverb needs no learn step. It keeps a running estimate of each frequency bin's reverb tail and subtracts it, with a Damping control that makes highs decay faster than lows, as they do in a real room.

Ten factory presets cover the rooms people actually record in, from a light touch-up in a booth to a last-resort rescue in a stairwell.

Features

  • Spectral-subtraction dereverb

Real-time implementation of Lebart, Boucheron & Mansour (2001).

  • Frequency-dependent decay

Damping models the way real rooms absorb treble.

  • Artifact control

Gain smoothing across frequency and time avoids musical noise.

  • Aligned Mix

The dry path is delay-compensated so blending never combs.
